Who We AreThroughout our 100+ year history Henderson Settlement has focused on Christ-Centered Service to positively impact our local community. Programs have been developed to support all age groups and demographics physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. While much of our historical support has come from Henderson Settlement’s affiliation with the United Methodist Church there has also been significant support from other denominations, colleges and individuals - along with local and national organizations that support non-profits agencies involved in community outreach. We welcome support and love-based participation from all across the country. As both our world and community change and evolve so do our programs and focus. The Settlement’s pioneering school gave way to Bell County’s public school system .Our Food Pantry was created to support many local families experiencing food security issues. New home builds took over where houses could no longer be repaired After-school tutoring and meals were developed to help our youth stay focused on their dreams. An aging apple orchard gave way to our Greenhouse and Community Garden programs. One thing that has not changed over the years is the constant stream of volunteers who give freely of themselves and their own means to enable our outreach programs to continue positively impacting our community. To every church, youth group, college, business and individual who has shared in our outreach ministry - we cannot thank you enough for your contributions to our community. We look forward to many more years of changing lives in Laurel Fork Valley through Christ-Centered Service. MEETING PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE WITH WHAT THEY NEED: 1925-2025 |
