History & Impact

Even though Henderson Settlement’s initial vision was one of education for the area’s youth it has created new programs along the way to meet additional needs - like Community Home Repairs, the Thrift Store, Craft Shop, Senior Care, Women’s Support and Youth Programs.

Our Food Pantry has provided monthly food boxes to qualifying families since 2010. Much of the food is donated by God’s Pantry in Lexington, KY with additional items purchased at a substantial discount. Qualifying seniors can get a 2nd box of food and personal care items each month.

We’d like to not need this program but participation has increased over the last few years. Your support is keeping food on family tables in our community!

Participate & Support

6You can support our Food Pantry Program by donating directly to it, donating to the general budget and reviewing our Needs List, And you can participate by volunteering! We always need help packing the hundreds of boxes distributed every month.

You can also support this program by sharing our story with your church, workplace, family and friends, collecting high quality food staples and bringing them directly to our campus.  We’ll be here with open arms - ready to restock the pantry with much needed food!

HELP US STOCK THAT FOOD PANTRY IN 2026!!
